Our family of eight had a wonderful time at Buck Valley Lodge. The location was only 10 minutes from town but we felt like we were in our own wilderness lodge. The cabin was very well stocked from a kitchen that had everything needed to eat in every day to the most comfortable mattresses and sheets we've ever felt in a vacation home. We made good use of both the pool table and hot tub each day. We all loved the firepit at night. The owners, Ron & Alley were accommodating and great to deal with throughout the process. We will be coming back in spring!

The property owners were amazing and so helpful with the process of renting this cabin. When we arrived the cabin was clean and spacious for the six people in our party. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and spent the majority of our time just spending time together. My son and his fiancee had a fun encounter with some deer at the resort swimming pool as well. Would recommend this cabin if you are looking to be out in the woods just relaxing!

Will definitely stay again and have already recommended to family and friends.

We wanted to take my grandmother, who was visiting from Utah, on a little trip while she was here. We had a great stay at the Buck Valley Lodge! There were plenty of beds to sleep us all and they were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed playing pool and relaxing. The views from the cabin were beautiful and we enjoyed seeing several deer in the mornings and evenings. Ron and Alley were awesome hosts! When we wanted to purchase day passes to the resort amenities they were quick to respond. My only negative is that I wish there were more blankets. Thank you!

The stay was wonderful, lovely house with a wonderful view. Security is a bit rude and treated us as if we we’re intruding. I did not like the fact the management would not stock the house with extra blankets or towels, You are given the bare minimum towels and nothing extra and then instructed to bring your own. For the amount of money paid for the rental, everything should be included, and full stocked. Over all though, this is a great place to visit as long as you bring what you need!

We are so sorry that you experienced a issue with security in the resort. We have spoken to the GM and have been assured it will be addressed. As for the towels and blankets, we ALWAYS leave plenty of towels and blankets for our guests use. The problem is that this guest was not forthcoming on the actual number of guests staying and our cleaners had prepared the cabin for the number they told us were staying. We do not ask our guests to bring any linens, blankets or towels. We happily fully stock the cabin for the amount of guests that are contracted to stay. This review is very disappointing as we allowed them a late check-out and were very accommodating to every request.

The property and cabin did not disappoint. It was clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. We loved the location being out in the wilderness so close the the river while only being 10 minutes from town. Couldn't believe how many deer we saw right in the yard! The kids loved the resort's indoor pool and game room when it rained. The owners were very nice and responsive, we really couldn't have asked for more. We will be coming back!!

We've been searching for the perfect cabin for our yearly trip to the mountains for quite awhile. We've finally found it! Buck Valley Lodge has everything we could ever ask for in a cabin. It is large, beautifully decorated, clean and fully stocked. The owners were great to deal with and provided us with all the information we needed to have a great time. We all loved the hot tub, firepit and pool table. The cabin is less than a 10 minute drive to town but feels like we are out in the middle of the wilderness. We have already reserved our next trip!!!

Great place, great location, great owners! Our 9 member family stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful week. We were all very comfortable, made use of the pool room, hot tub, fire pit, propane grill and cooked many great meals in the well stocked kitchen. We brought our pups, and there is a dog park in the resort, ,but we found that as much as we love them, it was a really an extra daily hike to walk them up and down the road (remember you ARE in the mountains). The Owners stayed in touch leading up to our trip, answering my many questions with grace and humor. The location is fantastic: very private, but literally 15 minutes to major shopping: Walmart, grocery stores, CVS, multiple restaurants, etc. The owners have created a literal guidebook for the area along with maps and descriptions of anything you can think of from antiques stores, restaurants, to wineries and hiking trails complete with maps and level of difficulty. We were able to visit 4 fantastic waterfalls that : Helton Creek Falls, Long Branch Falls, the Falls at Volens State Park (a picture postcard park worth visiting), and of course, the awe-inspiring Amicalola Falls (which is can't miss site..just don't go there first, all other falls will pale in comparison.) We also went "gem mining & panning for gold" in Dahlonega, which was great fun for all ages. There are multiple cabins to choose from, having the owners guide you make all the difference. I believe we'll be back!.

Just for information - the light in laundry room didn't work - probably a burned out bulb.

My family and I had a great time at this cabin. Very private and just as described and pictured. Had plenty of room and everyone loved the hot tub and fire pit. Just 5 minutes from town but very secluded so we had tons of privacy. Cabin was clean, comfortable and large. The best stocked kitchen I've every seen in a vacation rental. The owners were great and gave us a bunch of information on things to do while in the area. We just reserved another week at Buck Valley this fall!

Our stay at Buck Valley Lodge surpassed our expectations for our family trip. The cabin is in the perfect location - easy to get to and close enough to town, all while feeling super secluded and peaceful. We had a hard time deciding whether to go enjoy the towns so close by or stay at the gorgeous cabin to relax by the fireplace and hot tub! On top of that, the cabin is laid out perfectly for a couple or for a whole family with great views and is super clean. The eight of us had plenty of room to spread out and everyone loved to game room with pool table. The owners, Ron & Alley, were so quick to reply to anything we needed and sent us a great guide of recommendations beforehand. It was our first time renting through here, but definitely won't be our last as we fell in love with staying at this cabin. We wish we could've stayed longer!

The cabin was awesome. Really well appointed. The kitchen was way better equipped than I expected. There was a crockpot, blender and even a mixer if you wanted to bake. The cabin was also really beautifully decorated. A group of 7 ladies went up for the weekend and had a great time. I would highly recommend!

My friends and I (8 total) were very comfortable in Buck Valley Lodge. We enjoyed the double masters and layout very much. It rained the first day we were there but we were able to check out a winery nearby we loved. Being able to get away from the city and have a mountain weekend with a firepit, smores, and hot tub time was exactly what we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back!

The cabin was beautifully furnished, superbly stocked kitchen, beautiful relaxing multiple porches to watch the sunrise with coffee in hand.....we had some wonderful family time. The master bedroom had one of "the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in" with a jaccuzi tub, and a walk=in shower, beautiful wood floors throughout....We will be back....

Great house and well stocked. Would highly recommend this to any friends. The beds were comfy and the sheets were so soft. We had a little problem with the hot tub (the panel was locked) and was able to reach the owners right away. They were wonderful to work with and were able to fix the problem over the phone. We actually sat in the hot tub and could see deer walking around the property. River was a short walk from the house.

We spent a weekend with three other couples at Buck Valley and it couldn't have been nicer. We've been doing this get together for 15 years now and we all agreed that this cabin was the nicest we've stayed in to date. It was very clean, updated, decorated so nicely and the location was perfect. We were five minutes from town but felt like we had all the privacy in the world. Loved the hot tub, pool table and fire pit! The owners were awesome, communicated everything we needed to know and found their area guide on their website so helpful to planning. We have already reserved our next get together for next year at Buck Valley Lodge and can't wait to get back!

Myself, my husband and kids decided to get out of the Florida heat with my in-laws and head to the the Georgia mountains for some quality time. We chose Buck Valley Lodge for our stay and couldn't be happier. The owners, Ron & Alley were wonderful to deal with. They were very patient with all my questions and the communication throughout was fantastic. The cabin is located just a couple miles from the heart of town but when your at the cabin you feel like you have the wilderness to yourself. We must have seen 30 deer just in the yard itself throughout our stay. The short walk down the Coosawattee River was a favorite for the kids. Each morning they would walk down and do some fishing. The cabin itself was as nice as the pictures, if not nicer. It was very clean with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all our meals. The cabin was very spacious and even with nine of us never felt crowded. Even with night time temps in the high 70's we couldn't resist using the hot tub almost every night. (I need one at home now)! I would recommend this cabin to anyone (we will be back next summer!)

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Buck Valley Lodge! The home was very clean, bright (great windows throughout), and comfortable for our needs. The large dining table was great for our group of seven to gather around for meals and games. We loved playing pool in the gameroom and soaking in the hot tub. Everything from the booking process on went incredibly smooth. We have booked vacation homes over the past 15 years and this one really does stand out. The owners were incredible at communicating and gave us information on everything we asked for, plus more! The directions to the cabin were spot on, it was a easy quick drive from downtown Ellijay. The cabin itself was just as described. The pictures on the site are beautiful but it looks even better in person. What really stood out was how clean the cabin was, I wish I could get (and keep) my house that clean. We had a great time in the hot tub and the kids loved walking down to the river each afternoon. We took advantage of the huge indoor pool one afternoon while it was raining. Another favorite activity was sitting around the bon fire at night making S'mores. We have already reserved our next stay at Buck Valley for this fall to make more memories.

Enjoyed our stay at this cabin for my nieces wedding and enjoyed having the room to be with my family. Very clean and well maintained.

We rented the cabin for my boyfriends 32nd birthday weekend and it was very nice and spacious for 8 adulta. The cabin was nicely decorated and very clean with pretty much everything labeled for the kitchen. There were no major complaints outside of us not having much dishwashing liquid to wash our pots and pans as we cooked quite a bit throughout the weekend. I thought it was extremely sweet that the owners called to make sure everything was OK and to let us know we could reach out if we needed too. Definitely recommend a stay at Buck Valley Lodge.

Our family spent a week at Buck Valley Lodge for Christmas vacation and enjoyed it immensely. This beautifully decorated cabin is comfortable, tidy, and very clean. The balconies were favorites of everyone, but I especially liked the covered, screened porch. The kitchen is one of the most well-appointed kitchens I have seen in a vacation rental. It had everything we needed to prepare meals for our group of seven adults. It rained most of the week, so we were not able to explore the area very much, but we found lots to do inside. We played pool, board/card games, watched the deer, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The owners were very helpful and promptly returned our phone calls. They have made every effort to ensure a pleasant vacation for their guests. They even went to the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree for our celebration! I would recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the Ellijay/Blue Ridge area.

The cabin was perfect, the pictures do not give it justice. Very clean and well equipped with everything you would need from games to pool table and well as everything you would need in the kitchen. I am looking forward to staying again next year.

Our stay was amazing, everything was perfect. Every detail was taken care of. We felt at home and enjoyed the deer walking through the yard in the morning. It was very quiet and tranquil. We hope to return again soon!

Two grandmother's brought their families for a 3 night stay to enjoy the Apple Festival. Even the rain did not hinder our good times. The cabin was wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. We all agree we plan an annual visit to this cabin!

The cabin was gorgeous. It was clean and felt like home. Everything was supplied, towels, laundry area, dishes, etc. We really enjoyed our time there. The owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and talk to. We didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities such as the pool but the grounds were beautiful. Lots of deer too. Wonderful place to stay.

This cabin was a true Godsend. All the amenities were included in the price of the rental and the view was breathe taking! Truly enjoyed my stay! Will absolutely rent here again! Love, love this place!

The cabin was exactly as promoted and we had a wonderful peaceful time. Lots to do in the area from kids to adults. We covered it all and had a great time.

Quiet and Peaceful! Beautiful view! Spacious and comfortable . We were a group of 8 and we had plenty of space and privacy. My suggestion for future guest looking for the recreation center and pools......follow the map provided (BUT) easiest way is use maps to get to one of the four gates .....and start there and go through different gate to access different pool verses driving roads through the mountains. Less confusing and faster route... The mountain is beautiful and the deer were so pretty! Thank you Ron & Sandy! The Groetzner-Smiths

We enjoyed this cabin for Father's Day weekend and all had a great time! We found it to be spacious, well appointed and very clean. The owners were responsive and easy to do business with. We had a lovely time and hope to return soon.

This cabin was a perfect getaway. It was tucked away, but a short drive into town. We saw deer everywhere, as hunting is not allowed in the resort area. I can't say enough nice things about the cabin itself- the furnishings were new and comfortable. The owners were in touch to ensure we had all that we needed. My tip would be to read the resort booklet upon arrival, drive around and locate the pools/parks etc. The most fun we had was tubing/kayaking, offered by a few companies in the area.

The cabin was very spacious with plenty of room for the nine of us. Clean and well maintained with everything you need for a relaxing getaway with the family and/or friends. The cabin layout provided plenty of privacy. Close enough to town to run get any supplies you may have forgotten or groceries for cooking meals in the fully stocked kitchen. The owners were very nice and easy to talk to. They have worked hard to provide a great vacation experience. In the cabin is a book with detailed instructions for using the resort amenities and excellent directions to area activities, shopping, and dinning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We will definitely visit again.

We had a group of 9 with a gaggle of kids and some pups. The cabin was wonderful, secluded, and well-stocked. It was also near to several pools and parks on the local river (one within a half mile walking distance), and we were close enough to the Toccoa to have an early morning trout fishing trip. The owners were also easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

Buck Valley Lodge was well appointed and a perfect place to relax. Just a few minutes from the convenience of town but tucked away in the mountainside, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Favorite spots were the numerous outdoor decks as well as the fire pit for the evenings.

My husband and I, along with daughter, son-in-law, two young grandchildren (ages 2 and 3 months), and a golden retriever stayed at this cabin for a long weekend. We found the cabin in excellent condition when we arrived - clean, bright, and welcoming, and exactly as described. The furniture was comfy and we had everything we needed, including good WiFi. The layout was perfect for us, as my daughter and husband and the kids could stay in the two main floor bedrooms while my husband and I had the downstairs master to ourselves. It was nice to have a place where the dog was welcomed. We went to the recreation area once and used the indoor heated pool, which was huge and very nice. We were sorry we didn't have a chance to use the firepit, maybe next time. Owners Ron and Sandy were quick to respond during the whole process and it was a very pleasant experience all in all. Would definitely recommend this cabin to other families.

We were a group of 8 people, went there with no high expectations but it exceeded all our standards. It was clean and kept very neatly. It had all the things we needed and I can't think of any problem we encountered. We had a great time and I would certainly recommend staying here.

We stayed here with a group of friends. Owners have kept this cabin very clean and have arranged everything we needed. Ron and Sandy are amazing people, they have answered all of our questions patiently. We walked to the picnic area by riverside and spent a pleasant time. Wifi was really good, one of the night we stayed here was a game night, we were able to watch the game without interruption. Totally, we have spent a great time here. Will be going back again to this amazing place😄.

Are memories here were great we were a group of friends of 8 and had a blast. The cabin was very clean. And we had enough beds for a good sleep..they had all utensils required..and they answered all are questions regarding the cabin patiently... I wasn't personally happy with the dining table placement it was blocking way walking to and from the kitchen..but that totally didn't come in our way of fun. We walked to the river and saw couple of deers.. it was fun. This cabin is totally worth the experience. :-) Will surely recommend all!

My family and I had such a great time at Buck Valley Lodge. We have stayed at the owners other cabin in the past and loved it so we thought we'd give this one a try. It did not disappoint at all. There was so much room to spread out and all of the furniture and beds were extremely comfortable. I have to find out where they get the pillows from, they are incredible! The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We loved sitting out on the decks and sipping our morning coffee then taking a short walk down to the river. The kids loved going to the indoor pool and playing for hours as well as playing in the game room. We did a winery tour one day and hiked to the waterfall. We love this area and will be back soon to stay at Bearadise or Buck Valley!
